(Writer Director Actor)
Having started out as an actor in local Youth Theatre and then The National Youth Theatre Jason has always had a desire to direct.
His early experiences took him from the school and youth theatre stage to the Palace Theatre Westcliff, where he wrote and directed his first play Barricaded for the Artspace Young peoples Theatre Company. This led on to writing, directing topical based issues for The Prime Time Theatre Company.
Since the mid nineties Jason has gained a mass of experience in front of and behind the camera, (as an actor in many mainstream TV dramas and commercials and as a production hand, in roles varying from AD to storyboard Artist) . In the late nineties he was head runner for a leading post Production Company.
In 1997, his first short film as writer and director, Simple Minds was nominated for Best Screenplay at The British Short Film Festival and screened on Sky Movies. In 2005 his debut feature film (as writer and director) New Town Original, was released theatrically.
In between developing projects for New Town Films, Jason has directed several corporate films and is currently shadowing as director on mainstream TV dramas.
